Bridge Program Coordinator
The Bridge Program Coordinator will provide academic support to students participating in the Coastal Carolina University/Horry-Georgetown Technical College Bridge program. The Bridge Program Coordinator will enroll students in their courses, provide academic advising, teach first-year courses, and collaborate with campus partners at both CCU and HGTC in planning and facilitating campus events and programs. They will also be responsible for assisting students interested in the Coastal Bound Program and providing information about Coastal Carolina University. They will work with students in both the Bridge Program and Coastal Bound Program through the transfer process and discusses the benefits of the programs.
Duties include, but are not limited to: collaborating with the CCU and HGTC office of Admissions and Merit Awards on the recruitment, orientation and enrollment process of students into the Bridge program; troubleshooting students issues and concerns during the recruitment, orientation and enrollment process of students into the Bridge program; academic advising of Bridge students and enrolling them into their fall and spring classes at HGTC; enrolling Bridge students into their CCU UNIV-110 and UNIV-154 classes; collaborating with campus partners at both HGTC and CCU in the marketing and planning of programs and events for Bridge students; collaborating with campus partners at both HGTC and CCU in the marketing and planning of programs and events for Bridge students; teaching two (2) sections of UNIV-110BR First-Year Experience course during the fall semester and two (2) UNIV-154 Fundamentals of Integrative Learning during the spring semester; and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, or any academic discipline that CCU offers in the core curriculum and previous experience working in education is required. Previous work experience at a higher education experience and experience working with students who are academically at-risk and diverse student populations is preferred.
