Student Advocacy Coordinator


Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the Student Advocacy Coordinator. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Students who provides direct oversight for Student Advocacy and Intervention and Off-Campus Student Services.


Duties will include, but are not limited to: managing a caseload of advocacy cases through an electronic database and communicating with the Chant Intervention Team, Threat Assessment Team, and other administrators; managing multiple intervention and advocacy processes within the Dean of Students Office including Faculty Absence Alert, Attendance Notification, Student Respondent Support for Title IX investigations, and Semester Completion Coordination; serving as after-hours/on-call support rotation within the Division of Student Affairs; responding to student referrals and providing students with information regarding CCU policies and procedures (withdrawal, University complaints, etc.); assisting with the management of the Dean of Students Office website and co-leading the off-campus housing fair; developing and maintaining relationships with campus and community partners; assisting with the coordination of outreach and education efforts for Student Advocacy and Intervention; and performing other duties as assigned.


Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required.

Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.  High level energy position. May require evening and weekend work.
