POSITION OVERVIEW

The Aquatics Supervisor is a vital member of the leadership team at Myrtle Waves Waterpark, responsible for the safety, supervision, and operational excellence of the aquatics department. This role ensures that all lifeguards provide a safe environment for guests while maintaining high standards of professionalism. The Aquatics Supervisor acts as a bridge between frontline team members and management, modeling exemplary behavior and ensuring all park policies are strictly enforced.

  • Uniform Standards: Adhere strictly to dress code.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain SGE ELITE certification and a current lifeguard certification. Stay updated on industry best practices.

DAILY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Pre-Opening Operations
  • Inspections: Conduct comprehensive morning inspections and test rides. Coordinate with Maintenance for attraction clearance and sign-offs.
  • Park Readiness: Oversee to ensure the facility is guest ready.
  • Staffing & Deployment: assign lifeguard rotations efficiently and monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
  1. Operational Oversight
  • Supervision: Actively supervise aquatic team members, manage rotations/breaks, and ensure guests and team members follow all park regulations.
  • Engagement: Maintain an active, visible presence throughout the park always.
  • Incident Management: Promptly notify the Aquatics Manager of any park incidents.
  1. Performance & Safety Auditing
  • Conduct daily performance evaluations to ensure all team member skills meet facility standards.
  1. Guest Service
  • Serve as a point of contact for guest complaints, resolving issues with a focus on high satisfaction.
  • Monitor team member interactions to ensure all guests receive professional and courteous service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 100 hours of active-duty lifeguard experience is required.
  • SGE ELITE Certification required (can be obtained through aquatics department at Myrtle Waves).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment, including exposure to heat, sun, and water.
