The Maintenance Coordinator for Surfside Realty Company is responsible for managing and overseeing all maintenance and repair activities for a portfolio of vacation and annual rental properties. This role ensures that properties are well-maintained, functional, and safe for guests, while addressing any issues quickly and efficiently. The Maintenance Coordinator will coordinate with vendors, contractors, and housekeeping staff to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner and in line with company standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience in property maintenance
  2. Strong verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in property management or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum three (3) years maintenance/construction experience with residential properties.
  • Driver’s License (no DUI’s)
  • Must pass a thorough background check
  • Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work is a plus.
  • Experience with vacation rental platforms (Escapia, Breezeway, etc.) is advantageous. 
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn system expeditiously & maintains maintenance planning database daily

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time, Seasonal or Full-time position with a flexible schedule; requires weekends, holidays and occasional after-hours work to address urgent maintenance issues.
  • The role requires local travel to various rental properties for inspections and repairs.
  • Some physical work may be required, including lifting 60 lbs., standing for extended periods, and performing repairs.
